# 27 Paraphrasing of the poem--- The Voice of the Rain

The poem is composed by Walt Whitman. The poem starts in a conversation mode. The conversation is between the poet and the rain. The poet asks the rain who it was. The poet says it is very strange that the rain answered his question. It is very strange but he will translate the answer of the rain. The rain says it is the poem of the earth. It rises from the land and the sea at the untouchable height. There in the sky it takes different shapes of the clouds yet essentially it is the vapour only. It comes down to clean the drought, atom particles and dust layers of the sky. According to the rain, all seeds in the earth will be seeds only if it does not fall. Continuously it falls on the earth and meets it's own origin. Therefore the poem indicates towards the rain cycle. The poet keeps the last two lines in the bracket to grab the attention of the readers and to convey the message that a good work returns back to it's doer with love. As the rain after falling on the earth returns back to its origin, in the same way a good work returns back to its doer.

#26 Paraphrasing of the poem-- The Laburnum Top

The Laburnum Top

The top of the Laburnum is silent. In fact, it is very silent. It is the time of the afternoon, Yellow sunlight of the September is spreading everywhere. A few yellow leaves have started to become yellow and they are ready to fall. All the poisonous seeds of the tree have already fallen.
This silence of the tree is maintained only till the time the goldfinch arrives there. She is abrupt, sleek and alert before entering into her nest. As soon as she enters into the nest a machine of the birds' voices like chittering, trilling and tremor of wings. The whole tree starts to tremble and thrill. This nest is the engine of her family. She is stocking it with the fuel of grains. After that she again reaches to the branch end. The tree is yellow, the bird is yellow so it is difficult to trace the bird. This identity mask is opened only by the black bars on the forehead of the bird. Giving very strange, delicate whistling, chirruping and whispering sound the bird flies towards the sky. The laburnum tree returns to emptiness and silence.
