Hello dear students,

Introduction--Today we are going to start the second lesson of Flamingo 'Lost spring'. Spring is a season which is known for it's beauty and pleasantness. Spring here symbolises childhood. Like spring childhood is also a special phase of human life which is known for it's beauty, tension free life and pleasantness. But it is not beautiful for all children. Many poor children are there who have lost their spring-- means true childhood. In their childhood, they are struggling hard for their daily bread. They have no food, no education and no pleasure in life. This is the story of Saheb, Mukesh and Savita. 'Gold' in the lesson is the symbol of money.

Read the first two pages of the lesson and answer following questions---

Q.1 Where does Anees Jung encounter Saheb every morning?

Q.2 Why did Saheb leave his home?

Q.3 How did Saheb react when he was asked to go to school?

Q.4 What is the full name of Saheb? What is ironical in that?

(Hints-- full name, Saheb-E-Alam that means lord of the universe, as per name he should enjoy all the luxuries of the world but in real struggling hard for even basic facilities like food, education and shelter)
